Climbing on the Paganella Plateau
Several climbing gyms in Trentino
Are you looking for a place to climb in Trentino? The Paganella Plateau offers several climbing gyms, both natural and artificial.
In Andalo, at the Andalo Life sports centre near the Andalo Riding Centre, there is an open-air structure managed by the Alpine Guides, 13 metres high and equipped with 10 climbing routes ranging from grade V to VII.
In Molveno there is a natural climbing gym called S. Antonio, located in Ischia, which can be reached on foot from the town centre: there are 50 routes ranging from a minimum difficulty of grade III to a maximum of grade VIII. Molveno also has a 6-metre artificial gym in the town square, open two evenings a week during the summer for children and young people; it is also run by Alpine Guides.
There is a small crag at Lake Nembia (a few minutes from the Nembia car park), measuring 20 metres and with 10 climbing routes from 6b to 7c. Fixing. Boulder.
In Fai della Paganella, in the sports hall, there is a fixed climbing gym (6 metres) indoors with 10 climbing routes ranging from IV to VII grade. Climbing with appropriate equipment or with an alpine guide is compulsory.
In Cavedago, along the road to Passo del Santel, there is a 25-metre natural rock gym called "lo svago sano" with routes of medium/high difficulty level from 6a to 8a. Nailed with 10mm fixes at the start of the path to the Boulder area.
Finally, there is a natural crag called "I Sasedei" in Spormaggiore, a few metres from the remains of Castel Belfort. It reaches a maximum height of 15 metres. There are 10 climbing routes with resin-coated stainless steel rods that range progressively from a minimum difficulty of grade V to a maximum of VIc, with a prevalence of V.
